In Thailand it is the first of 3 days of a water festival called Songkran. Songkran lasts for 3 days and contains water gun fighting, splashing passing vehicles with buckets of water, singing, and dancing.
Today we slept in and ate cereal for breakfast. Then we took the metro to a closed street that had the largest water gun fight I have ever seen. We brought our water sprayers so that we could fight back but we had to refill every time that you ran out of water.
Afterwards we took the metro back and went to a very interesting place for lunch. When we first walked in we had to take off our shoes because the restaurant was literally in the living room of their house. They were very friendly and didn’t have many menu items so it was easier to decide what you wanted. All of us got beef burgers but dad and mine had an egg inside, and mom got one without a bun. The burger was amazing and we are definitely going there again because it was the best burger I’ve had in my life.
When we got home we watched Jurassic Park.
Next we went to a park full of concerts, food trucks, floats, and a drone show. Even though it was Songkran we didn’t get wet which I thought was good. Once we got home we went to bed.
