We flew home today. We left our Airbnb apartment at 3:25AM (ouch!) and made the 45-minute Uber drive to the airport in time for a 6:30AM flight to Amsterdam. With a 1.5 hour layover, it was a fairly tight turnaround to get on the flight back to Houston, but we made it and then slept much of the way. By the time we got home, we had been awake for around 20 hours and were ready to be home and to see our dog (who had somehow not forgotten us this whole time).
The kids are off to camp next week (hence coming home before summer break is really over…they refused to miss camp this year!)…and then we have a few domestic adventures planned over the next several months.
The next updates here will be our even longer/bigger adventure next Spring/Summer. The tentative plan involves Asia and Africa, but check back probably in March for more details! I am also planning to add a bit more “bonus materials” to this site over the next couple of months, so don’t forget to click that subscribe button so you know whenever new content arrives 🙂
Thanks for following along on our adventures!
