Today we went to the Vigelandsparken sculpture garden. It had hundreds of bronze sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. We started at the beginning and made our way in a straight line through the garden. On both sides in the middle of the garden there are lakes full of ducks, plants, and small fish. There were tons of dramatic sculptures that were supposed to represent the stages of life with all emotions and even violent scenes along the path of fountains, sculptures, and architecture. We then went to some ferry piers that Mom saw on the tram on the way to the sculpture garden. The piers had old boats from like 1930 or something and in the water there were fish that I named “long-nosed worm fish” because they were just like skinny long worm looking fish with a llllllllllooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggg skinny nose/mouth they also moved like worms squirming around in the water. Right across from the water, there was a fortress that was still partly a military base thing so we walked up and got to it. It had cannons and a tall wall with a drawbridge that we got to go on and tons of other stuff but we didn’t go indoors because we would have to buy tickets. Then we walked to the Oslo Opera House. Then we went to Mathallen food hall. It used to be a factory but now they have converted it into a food hall with really good stuff and it was hard to choose which restaurant I wanted to go to. We all got food from different places.
