Today we took a boat ride on the Danube River. First we had to get tickets but there was no line so we got them very quickly. Then we waited in a long line right in the sun for them to finish vacuuming the boat and then start boarding. The line took about 30 minutes just to start boarding and then the line moved slowly for another 5 minutes. Then after everybody was boarded we started moving. We took the entire 1 hour and 45 minute ride from the dock to a stop at Margaret Island to a stop on the other side, then down the river a lot more and back to the dock. I saw the city, some nice buildings, and some fish racing the current.
Then we went to the Museum of Fine Arts which was in City Park near the statues that we went to two days ago. It had art from all over Europe and had all sorts of different types of paintings, sculptures, and sketches.
Once we were hungry we left and went to dinner at Monkey’s, the gluten-free restaurant with a crazy waitress but great food. This time there were fewer people so the waitress was less stressed and the food was just as good then we went to get dessert at a Kürtőskalács (Chimney Cake) Ice Cream place near our apartment.
