At lunch today, Ashton declared that “Not everything is like Molina’s. I think this was in response to paying at the counter rather than at the table for lunch. EIther way, our favorite Mexican food place in Houston is a good bit different (in almost every imaginable way) than any of our experiences in Istanbul!
DAILY SUMMARY FROM ASHTON:
Today in Turkey for breakfast we went to (kambaraci pastry shop) I ate a meat borek, Sadie ate a sugar borek and my dad ate a spinach borek.
After that, we went to an art museum and then went to one of the sultan’s palaces. Then we went to a cafe at the palace for lunch. At the cafe I had beef with potato, and so did my mom.
Later
We went on a train to the boat docks where we got on the boat, then we slowly rode across the Bosphorus where we could see almost everything on each side of the water. In the boat, it was very windy and cold, but it was sunny in the corner where I was. We went on the ferry from Istanbul Europe across the Bosphorus to Istanbul Asia and back.
Then we went to dinner at a place named Pad Thai.
